The design of Babel, ThamVidegård’s second collaboration with Wästberg+, started with the most essential form capable of directing a beam of light: a cone. The design relies on this alignment of shape and function: a conical lampshade is paired with a circular plate that echoes the opening of the cone.

The combination of the circular plate and the cone creates a recognizable silhouette that asserts its presence through architectural clarity. Available in two sizes, Babel can read as a quiet accent or a more pronounced statement – or, when used together, as a dynamic dialogue.

Whether used to punctuate a surface or create a larger, spatial atmosphere, Babel maintains a balance between structural order and focused illumination.

The distinctive, graphic cone shape gives Babel its character and presence. It combines playfulness with poise and provides rich, dimmable light with directional clarity. A smooth hinge ball allows for accurate, effortless adjustment.
