The Culture House in Bergsjön stands as a shimmering green gateway at Rymdtorget, where its characteristic folded façade of glazed brick captures the light and sparks curiosity in every passer-by. Designed to strengthen the district's identity, the building serves as a welcoming bridge between different cultures, ages, and perspectives.

By combining the textile-like quality of the façade with warm wooden interiors and large glass sections, an open atmosphere is created that invites everything from play and learning to spontaneous encounters and professional events.
Inside, visitors are greeted by a light-filled atrium featuring a generous grand staircase that serves as the building’s natural heart and hub. Here, the library, workshops, stages, and café are gathered under a single roof, making the space easy to navigate and highly accessible for all.
The design is defined by a robust "atelier" feel, utilising durable materials like polished concrete and natural wood that age beautifully. The floor plan is intentionally flexible to accommodate future needs, allowing the activities within to grow and evolve over time.

Outside, Rymdtorget is transformed into a safe, lush "Culture Square" where urban life and nature intertwine. A large south-facing loggia serves as a weather-protected outdoor room, extending the season and fostering a vibrant interaction between the building's interior and the square's activities, such as markets and play.
With a strong focus on sustainability, ranging from energy-efficient systems and solar panels to biodiverse landscaping, the new Culture House represents a long-term and inspiring investment in Bergsjön's social and urban environment.
