ThamVidegård is working on the ongoing urban development of the former Gasworks district in Stockholm. The project encompasses both the restoration and refurbishment of existing industrial structures, as well as the construction of new buildings to establish a regional centre for the northern part of Stockholm, Norra Djurgårdsstaden.

Once completed, the new Gasworks neighbourhood will offer a complete and diverse urban environment with public plazas and parks, communal spaces, restaurants, services, shops, offices and housing. As many of the original protected structures, designed by Ferdinand Boberg towards the end of the 19th century, are characterised by well-crafted red brick architecture, the new buildings are proposed within the same colour scheme using brick, pigmented concrete and corten steel.
All constructions will comply with the highest Swedish environmental and energy efficiency standards. The total area is 52,500 sqm, excluding underground parking and services. Clients: CA Fastigheter and Åke Sundvall.
